Apr 5 Dust Devils Receive (2) Nominations: 2008 Texas Music Awards

Austin, Texas ~ The Dust Devils are headed to the 2008 Texas Music Awards, on Saturday, May 3, 2008.   The award-winning band, known for their "farm-to-market rock 'n' roll"  signature style of music, has been nominated in (2) categories this year; "Live Band of the Year" and (George Quiroga, guitarist) "Musician of the Year."

The group swept the 2006 Texas Music Awards, winning "Album of the Year", "Song of the Year", "Vocal Duo of the Year" and "Female Vocalist of the Year."

This year, the Texas Music Awards, (sanctioned by the Academy of Texas Music) will be held in Palestine, at the Civic Center.  The host will be Gary P. Nunn.  Barbara Malteze (of The Dust Devils), recipient of "Female Vocalist of the Year" for 2 unprecedented years in a row, (2006 & 2007), will be one of the presenters.

The Dust Devils are scheduled to perform at the After-Party, along with all the other nominees in the "Live Band of the Year" category, (including Ryan T. Briggs, Texas Renegade, David Lee Kaiser, Randy Brown).

The event is open to the public.  Red Carpet starts at noon.  The show begins at 2pm.
